"Out of all the Dark Jedi I have met, Sariss is the one I can say... I fear. Powerful, strong in both the physical and mental arenas of the Force, she is a master, a perfectionist, quiet and reserved. This makes her a very dangerous foe."
―Qu Rahn as a Force ghost, to Kyle Katarn — Listen
Sariss (also known as the Prophetess) was a female Human who was one of seven Dark Jedi, attempting to reclaim the Valley of the Jedi some time after the Galactic Empire's defeat at the Battle of Endor.
Regarded by Qu Rahn as a perfectionist, Sariss faced battle as an art-form, each move and tactic carefully planned before implementation.
Sariss was as cold-hearted as a machine, as when Kyle was weakened from the crash of the Moldy Crow, she attempted to kill him when he was unable to fight back. Yun selflessly threw himself into the path of the blade, sacrificing his life purely to allow Kyle a chance to fight back.
It should be noted that despite her upbringing, Sariss was not a loyal devotee to Jerec. In the non-canon Dark Side ending, after the downfall of Jerec, Sariss is shown as Kyle's apprentice, with a look of delight on her face as he tells her to crush an uprising of rebels, implying she enjoys her duties regardless of who gives them to her.
Sariss, the only human of Jerec's group, had blonde hair and blue eyes, and wore dark leather armour similar to that of her master.
Sariss was an apprentice to Jerec, learning from him the art of combat and the true power of the Force.
In the non-canon Dark Side storyline, Kyle Katarn instead fights Yun at the Valley of the Jedi, and kills him. In the final cutscene, it is revealed that Sariss has become Kyle's apprentice after he killed Jerec.
